Humainoir / ユマノワール
少し遅れましたが、明けましておめでとうございます。本年もどうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。
早速ですが、題名は完全に私の造語です。年末から新年にかけてワインを色々飲みましたが、そこで思ったことをこの「言葉」に乗せてみました。
テロワールという言葉はもう皆さんがよくご存知だと思いますが、実際はテロワールと造っている「人」、どちらがワインの性格に大きく影響しているのだろうか、とシモン・ビーズを飲みながら、ふと思ったのでした。もともとはテロワールあってのことなので、テロワールを最重視していたのですが、少し時間の余裕ができて生産者の方を訪問したり、彼らのFacebookを拝見したりすると、こういう方だからこういうワインができるのだなと妙に腑に落ちてしますのです。真面目な方は真面目なワイン、ファンキーな方はファンキーなワインと。。。（真面目に見える方がファンキーなワインを造ってしまう場合は、本当はファンキーな人だったりして。）
確かにテロワールは大きくワインに影響します。でも、生産者が大きく方向を転換したとき何が起こったでしょうか？ドミニク・ローランやペロ・ミノが良い例だと思うのですが、あれだけ濃く、豊満なワインを造っていたのに、今や繊細で綺麗なワインへと変化を遂げています。テロワールの個性を残していると言えばそうなのかも知れませんが、その特徴を大きく上回る変化を起こしています。また、世代が変わった生産者も良い例で、ラマルシェ、ジョルジュ・ノエラは大きく変化した生産者でしょう。マルセル・ラピエールなども本質は変わらなくともスタイル的な変化はあったのかなと感じています。
個人的に金融業に浸かって時間に追われ、ワインを通して擬似旅行をしながらその土地を感じていると思っていたのですが、実は造っている「人」を見ていたのだなと感じるようになりました。「ユマノワール」を感じよう！ そしたらきっとその人に会いたくてしょうがなくなる。ワインてやっぱり面白いですね😊

A Happy New Year!
The subject, "Humainoir" of this post is made by ME! This is the "word" I thought of when I drank tons of wines over the year end.
I am sure many people already know about "terroir". But, which decides wine character more, "terroir" or "human"? Of course, terroir comes first, I thought. But, when I went to see winemakers or looked at the Facebook page of theirs, I somehow understood and felt the fitness between their wines and their personalities. Cool producers make cool wines and funky winemakers make funky wines with funky labels.
No doubt, terroir matters. Having said that, what happened when wine producers changed their policies totally. Dominique Laurent and Perrot Minot were good example. They had produced very thick and glamorous Pinot Noir before, but they have changed their styles rapidly and they now make very clean wines. Though wine leaves basic character of its land, the influence done by winemakers sometimes covers those characters. When young Lamarche and Georges Noellat succeeded wineries, they suddenly changed their styles and largely improved their qualities. Marcel Lapierre haven't changed its basic, but still slight style change has occurred.
I have been chased by time in the financial world in the past and only could visit wineries spuriously. And, I thought I virtually saw ground and soil. But, I think I felt the personality of producers every time I drank wines. Let's feel "Humainoir". And, you're really gonna like to meet them. Wine is so many splendid things❤️
